Wooden Cheese Slicer

Constructed from natural wood with a stainless steel handle, it measures 10" x 7"/25.5cm x 18cm. To clean, simply run a knife through the cutting slot, wipe with a damp soapy cloth, and then dry immediately. Please note that it is not dishwasher safe and should be occasionally rubbed with a soft cloth moistened with mineral or vegetable oil.

The folks at Norpro know this, too; they've included two replacement wires with this hardwood cheese slicer. The wire installs very easily and quickly into the clean lines of the coping-saw-like handle, but do yourself a favor: stick to unaged Cheddar and other semi-firm cocktail-party varieties. Using the Norpro to garrote a Gouda or slide through a Stilton doesn't give the wire the right resistance to strut its stuff.
